Shipping
This page sets out how orders placed on specialmarine.fr are shipped. It supplements article 7 of the terms and conditions of sale. The French version prevails.
1. Area served
We deliver to mainland France, Corsica included. For any other destination, write to contact@specialmarine.fr and we will send you a quotation.
2. Lead times
Orders paid before 2 p.m. on a working day are prepared the same day or the next working day: dispatch takes place within 24 to 48 working hours. Carrier transit time is then added, usually 24 to 72 working hours depending on the chosen offer. These times are indicative and are restated when the delivery method is chosen.
In the event of a significant delay, write to us: we open an enquiry with the carrier and keep you informed. Under article L. 216-6 of the French Consumer Code, consumers may terminate the sale if delivery does not take place within a reasonable additional period.
3. Delivery methods
- Pickup point — delivery to a partner shop near the address given, with notification by e-mail or text message; the parcel is held for the carrier's own retention period.
- Home delivery — delivery to the address given, against signature depending on the offer.
The available offers, their carrier and their price are shown at the "Delivery" step of the checkout, based on the actual weight of the basket and the destination postcode.
4. Shipping costs
Shipping costs are calculated automatically from the weight of the order and the destination, then shown before any payment, in the order summary. They are stated inclusive of tax. No order is confirmed before the total amount, shipping included, has been made known to the customer.
5. Receiving your parcel
On receipt, check the condition of the parcel in the presence of the driver or shopkeeper. In case of damage or a missing item:
- record precise, dated reservations on the delivery note or the carrier's terminal ("box open", "item broken" rather than "subject to unpacking", which has no legal effect);
- photograph the parcel and its contents;
- report it to contact@specialmarine.fr within three working days.
Risk passes upon physical delivery of the parcel. A product received damaged or not as described is taken back at our expense: see the Returns and withdrawal page.
6. Tracking
As soon as the parcel is handed to the carrier, an e-mail gives you the tracking number. Tracking is also available from your account, under "My orders".
